Hello, my name is Stephane. I started a natural hair blog two years ago on Instagram. I want to help other naturals who struggle to find a routine or products that fit their lives and their hair. I want to offer encouragement and answers in any way that I can.
How do you currently wear your hair?
My go-to is two-strand flat twists that I turn into a twist-out.
When did you start using a bonnet? Do you use any other satin products?
I’ve been using a bonnet since college. I’ve worn a scarf since middle school to protect my hair. My mom taught me the importance of protective hair products as soon as I took over my hair care routine.
How did you find out about NPTressTreats?
I found out about NPTressTreats on Instagram from @curlsuncoded. I had been looking for cute satin products. When I saw the nptresstreats on her page, I knew these products were something to try.
What size bonnet do you wear? Over the ear? Behind the ear?
I wear a size B. A. B. (big ass bonnet) and I am team “over the ear.”
Do you pineapple?
Yes, I began to pineapple when I saw a woman with curly hair do a tutorial on the NPTressTreats Instagram page.
What's the funniest/strangest thing you've used to protect your hair?
I’ve used a giant zipper-style storage bag to protect my hair from the rain. I’d worn a silk press to work and had to walk quite a ways to get to my car. I used a single hair pin to make a quick bun and threw the clear bag over my head and made the long walk. I’m sure I looked wild, but my hair stayed flawless. Mission accomplished!
Where's the craziest place you've worn a bonnet
Not a bonnet, but I’ve worn my scarf under a hoodie to go grocery shopping. My bonnet I’ve worn to pick up my kids from the car line at school.
How do you determine what you will use (that night) for hair protection? Bonnet? Scarf?
I’m a wild sleeper so I always go with the triple threat. I wear a scarf, then a bonnet and I sleep on a satin pillowcase. I’ve learned the hard way that, with my hair, it’s better safe than sorry.
How often and how do you wash your satin treats?
I wash my satin products when I wash my hair. Fresh hair gets fresh satin products. New scarf, new bonnet and new satin pillowcase.
What's your favorite print? Any print you would like to see?
I have so many favorites! The golden pineapples noir, the boho unicorn, and the dinosaur prints are among my top five.

Go to bed the same way you want to wake up. If you want your hair to look cute in the morning, take care of your hair at night! A great nighttime schedule makes a huge difference in the morning.
